Vail CO Orthopedic Hip Surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon Performs Hip Surgery Televised Live in Northern Italy
Dr. Marc Philippon recently visited Parma Italy where he performed a 4-hour complex hip surgery that was televised live and streamed to a nearby auditorium where a large group of Italian surgeons medical experts and high-profile public officials gathered to observe the break-through operation. The surgery which demonstrated the latest surgical techniques associated with the hip joint was sponsored by Smith & Nephew and represented a progressive move for the Italian medical industry. Experts in Parma raved about the proactive changes that the Local Health Care Agency has so diligently pursued including upgrading and investing in the latest medical tools and technologically advanced equipment as well as bringing in internationally renowned medical experts such as Dr. Philippon to demonstrate new procedures.
