When you're sick or injured, it's sometimes hard to know where to go for medical care. Vail Health offers a variety of health care services in convenient locations throughout Eagle County so that you can find the right care, at the right time and at the right cost. See below when to see providers for primary care, urgent care, emergencies, behavioral health, and physical therapy. 

$ PRIMARY CARE

Primary care is typically the least expensive option for medical care. Call ahead for an appointment. Primary care treats the following illnesses and injuries:
  • Altitude sickness
  • Respiratory and urinary tract infections
  • Cough, cold, fever and flu symptoms
  • Minor cuts and burns
  • Minor fractures, strains and sprains
  • Stomach illness and dehydration

If your health care need is immediate, urgent care is a walk-in service and is more affordable than the Emergency Department. Urgent cares treat:

The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you or a loved one are experiencing any of the following medical emergencies, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.
  • Confusion or sudden/unexplained loss of consciousness
  • Difficulty breathing or speaking
  • Head trauma or skull fracture
  • Heart attack symptoms
  • Loss of vision 
  • Severe injury
  • Stroke symptoms: chest pain, numbness in limbs or face
  • Trauma and severe bleeding
