FREE Stop the Bleed Training: May 19

Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of a preventable death. This short course will teach three quick actions to help stop the bleed until first responders arrive.

Join us on May 19 for National Stop the Bleed Day and in under an hour you can learn to save a life of a family member, friend or someone you don't know. Be the difference and save a life!

Stop The Bleed

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action that focuses on educating the public about the vital steps to help save a life to empower them to take action in a bleeding emergency. 

The ABCs of bleeding that the course teaches include:
  • Alert - call 9-1-1
  • Bleeding - find the bleeding injury
  • Compress - apply presses to stop the bleeding
In partnership with Starting Hearts, Eagle County, and Vail Health, official Stop the Bleed kits are being installed in 200 AED locations including schools and law enforcement vehicles.

These kits include:
  • A C-A-T tourniquet
  • Instructional booklet on bleeding control
  • QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing
  • Protective gloves
  • Compression bandage
