What is a colonoscopy & when should you get one?
A colonoscopy is an exam used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine (colon) and rectum.

If you’re 45 or older, it’s time for a colorectal cancer screening (colonoscopy). Early detection saves lives. The Surgical Associates team specializes in the digestive system and its disorders, and Dr. Barry Hammaker performs colonoscopies in Vail and Leadville.
If you're a child of the 80's or older, don't put off this important screening. To schedule in Vail, call (970) 479-5036. To schedule in Leadville, call (719) 486-7166.
