Thanks for 9Health Fair
May 10, 2017

Vail Valley Medical Center recently sponsored the 9Health Fair at Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum, and I’m very proud of our clinical staff who volunteered their time to make free healthcare services available to our community. Many thanks to our phlebotomists, who performed blood draws; our Howard Head Sports Medicine physical therapists, who offered Functional Movement Screenings and shoulder strength testing; and our Shaw Regional Cancer Center staff who provided education and helpful information. In all, VVMC sent 22 staff members to serve the approximately 600 community members who attended the health fair.
One of Vail Valley Medical Center’s goals is to make healthcare accessible to everyone in our community, and thanks to the 25 free or cost-reduced services offered, people were given access to some of the hospital’s best clinicians. Thanks also to our partners, including the Eagle Lions Club, Eagle Valley Care Center, Eagle County Health and Human Services, Gypsum Fire Protection District, Valley View Rehabilitation Services, Eagle County Paramedic Services, Eagle Valley Family Practice and Edwards Rotary Club.
