Biography
Dr. Melissa O’Meara, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician and the Medical Director of Vail Health Concierge Medicine. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she specializes in preventive care, personalized wellness planning, and chronic disease management through a concierge medicine model that prioritizes patient access, continuity, and convenience.
Dr. O’Meara received a classical education from the University of Notre Dame. She brought this humanitarian approach to the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital/National Jewish in Denver. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Her clinical interests include executive health, cardiovascular risk reduction, hormone balance, and integrative approaches to long-term vitality. Dr. O’Meara is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and is on the path to functional medicine certification. She believes that the best care approach is rooted in the evidence-based science of Western Medicine, nourished with a rich understanding of lifestyle medicine, and optimized to fit patient’s needs.
