About the opportunity:
 

Support the overall Surgical Services Surgery Center Operations department through planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to electronic clinical revenue cycle applications with clinical medical record applications and services.  Provide business operations analysis along with clinical chart operations to support department leadership’s data-driven decisions. Participate in the design, build, testing, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of revenue cycle systems and clinical applications.  This is a Hybrid position and as such will require travel to all surgery center locations.

 
What you will do:
  1. Plan and coordinate the design, build, installation, upgrade, updates, and user training of new and established information systems to maintain appropriate levels of technology and functionality as determined by Surgery Center Operations leadership.
  2. Provide revenue cycle applications analytics and clinical workflow metrics, including interpretation and presentation, to Surgery Center Leadership to support data-driven decisions.
  3. Work with Surgery Center staff, Vail Health IT, The Steadman Clinic IT, and application vendors to coordinate project plans, including: timetables, testing, training, and implementation dates. Keep the teams involved informed of changes via email updates, meetings, etc.
  4. Serve as an escalation source for Vail Health IT, to prioritize, investigate, and troubleshoot problems and questions pertaining to Surgery Center applications, hardware, interfaces, and data processing as appropriate.
  5. Assist revenue cycle operations, along with clinical operations, to develop application specialists or "super users". Assist these application specialists with development of training materials that accurately reflect system(s) and their appropriate usage by customers.
  6. Communicate with customers in a prompt, courteous, professional manner.
  7. Provide leadership oversight for the Surgical Services AV Technicians assigned to the various operating rooms tasks. This will require, as needed, in-person support at all locations that Vail Health Operates. The AV Technicians may take calls as scheduled to meet the needs of system users.
  8. Actively participates in surgery center leadership activities
  9. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.  Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:
 
Experience:
  • 3 years of healthcare experience, surgical specialty preferred.
  • Must have aptitude for understanding computer software and hardware.
  • Must have the ability to instruct and teach others in software-related topics.
License(s):
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state, preferred.
Certification(s):
  • N/A
Computer / Typing:
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
 
Education:

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.

Yearly Pay:
$102,273$141,148.80 USD
