Oncology Genetic Counselor- Temporary Part Time

- Provide patient assessment and counseling, including: Obtain and review medical records, perform literature review, take family history, risk assessment, education, coordinate genetic testing, disseminate test results, assess mental and emotional status.
- Provide referral to appropriate medical specialists and support services, and consult with referring health care providers.
- Enroll appropriate patients in genetic research studies and investigational medical management protocols.
- Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Must be HIPAA compliant
- Genetic Counselor experience preferred
- Certified Genetic Counselor, renewed every 5 years required

The posted salary range for this position applies to Colorado and may be adjusted based on geographic location. Vail Health considers a variety of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demand and other business and organizational needs.
Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
