Manager - Facilities

The Facilities Manager oversees the Vail Health Facilities department by managing personnel, maintenance, task execution, and resource coordination to ensure the upkeep of facilities and effectively respond to standard and emergency requirements.
- Ensures that the facility's structures, grounds, systems, and equipment operate effectively and comply with all regulatory requirements to provide a safe and secure environment.
- Manages the department's expenditures within the budget.
- Reports and coordinates budget planning and expenditures with senior leadership
- Conducts annual facility assessments and provide capital project recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provides policy management for the Facilities department, including managing and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manages the preventive maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer recommendations and capturing all new equipment introduced to the facilities. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission requirements for facility maintenance.
- Represents the department in committee functions, including the Environment of Care Committee and others as assigned.
- Identifies processes and procedures to streamline workflows within the departments and ensure services for the organization.
- Ensures training for the facilities department is current and compliant.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships across teams.

- Must be HIPAA compliant
- 4 years of experience within the functional area, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity, including managing performance evaluations and feedback in an organizational maintenance department role required.
- Department budget management experience required.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to pass Vail Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.
