About the opportunity:
 
The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, fielding questions about scheduling with providers, directing calls to appropriate parties, taking and distributing messages, and scheduling appointments.
 
What you will do:
  • Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers,
    etc.
  • Receives and initiates calls to and from patients, providers, outside provider offices, while
    following established scheduling procedures and protocols.
  • Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health
    record (EHR) scheduling software.
  • Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional manner and scheduling of patient
    appointments.
  • Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address
    information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient.
  • Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals to schedule appointments.
  • Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests.
  • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant

What you will need:
 
Experience:
  • 2 years administration or similar experience preferred. 
  • Previous medical office experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

The posted salary range for this position applies to Colorado and may be adjusted based on geographic location. Vail Health considers a variety of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demand and other business and organizational needs.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay:
