Dr. Ugale attended the University of Glasgow Medical School in Glasgow, Scotland, where she received her bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees. She then completed diagnostic radiology residencies at the Western Regional Hospital Board in Glasgow, Scotland and at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Ugale is a fellow of the American College of Radiology and a radiologist with Diversified Radiology of Colorado, where she specializes in breast imaging. She is also medical director of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Women's Center in Denver and the medical director of the Sonnenalp Breast Center, where she is a member of the multidisciplinary breast cancer team as a breast imaging specialist.

Dr. Ugale has served as the president of the Colorado Medical Board and president of the Colorado Radiological Society, as well as on various other medical committees. In addition, she is a member of the Colorado Radiological Society, the American College of Radiology, the Denver Medical Society, the Colorado Medical Society, the American Breast Cancer Society, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

A British native, Dr. Ugale has lived in Colorado since 1973 and she splits her time between the Vail Valley and Denver. She enjoys being with her family and friends, skiing, reading and playing competitive golf. She has played in the US Amateur, US Mid-Amateur, US and British Senior Amateur golf tournaments.
