About the opportunity:
The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care, consultation, evaluation, and education to patients of the medical oncology clinic.
What you will do:
- Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act.
- Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and hospital administration.
- Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.
- Competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care, patient satisfaction, and safety are maintained as documented by supervising physician’s review.
- Provides patient education relating to current medical issues and to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interaction with patients/families, providers, staff, other VVMC departments, and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.
- Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
- Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
- Demonstrates competency in triage, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
- Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:
Experience:
- Two years’ experience as a nurse practitioner in related area preferred.
License(s):
- License and certifications per the employee's contract. With credentialing by the Medical Staff Office.
Certification(s):

Computer / Typing:
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
Hourly Pay:
$55.61—$67.32 USD
