IT Training and Adoption Lead

The Enterprise IT Training and Adoption Lead is instrumental in advancing the organization’s digital maturity of the organization by developing, delivering, and sustaining comprehensive technology training programs across the enterprise. This role identifies skill gaps and creates targeted learning solutions that equip staff at all levels with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively adopt and utilize enterprise IT systems, including collaboration tools, cybersecurity protocols, electronic medical records (EMR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other key technologies. The role partners closely with IT leadership, clinical and operational stakeholders, and Human Resources, to align learning strategies with organizational objectives, drive workforce readiness, and foster a culture of continuous learning and digital fluency throughout the health system.
- Develops and implements a scalable IT training and upskilling strategy aligned with the organization’s digital transformation goals.
- Designs, delivers, and continuously improves engaging learning programs across multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, and self-paced), focusing on technologies such as Microsoft 365, AI tools, electronic medical records (EMR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and cybersecurity.
- Builds and maintains a robust knowledge infrastructure including learning portals, job aids, documentation, and enablement resources to support ongoing technical education and user adoption.
- Creates and curates comprehensive learning curricula by leveraging existing resources and developing custom content tailored to organizational needs.
- Assesses and identifies digital skill gaps for clinical and non-clinical staff and develops targeted learning pathways to increase digital literacy and operational efficiency.
- Promotes automation and process optimization by introducing employees to workflow tools and data-driven decision-making techniques.
- Collaborates with Human Resources and operational leaders to support internal talent development, role optimization, and leadership growth within technology-related functions.
- Ensures training programs are inclusive, accessible, and adaptable to diverse learning preferences and a multi-generational workforce, utilizing a mix of workshops, lunch-and-learns, webinars, and virtual instruction.
- Supports change management and IT adoption initiatives by designing and executing communication and training plans that enhance user engagement and minimize disruption.
- Monitors, measures, and reports on training effectiveness using metrics such as adoption rates, knowledge retention, productivity improvements, and learner satisfaction, and uses these insights to drive continuous program enhancements.

- Performs other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Five years of experience in IT training, learning and development, or workforce enablement within a complex, matrixed organization, preferably in healthcare, required.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide training initiatives and delivering scalable, outcome-focused learning programs.
- Experience supporting digital transformation efforts or large-scale IT system deployments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with healthcare, clinical operations, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and content authoring tools.

- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Prosci, Project Management Professional, Information Technology Infrastructure Library) preferred.
The posted salary range for this position applies to Colorado and may be adjusted based on geographic location. Vail Health considers a variety of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demand and other business and organizational needs.
