Thank you VVMC
May 12, 2017

Vail Valley Medical Center’s most important resource is our staff—the men and women who extend superior, compassionate care to our patients and guests. With 1,236 full-time, part-time and affiliated staff and 260 physician partners, VVMC is the second largest employer in the region. We are also fortunate to have the support of 84 dedicated men and women on our Volunteer Corps, as well as the commitment of our volunteer Board of Directors. During National Hospital Week, I want to thank these selfless individuals who play a role in ensuring VVMC provides the most modern mountain health care in the world.
In a small valley like ours, it’s likely that one of VVMC’s employees is your friend or your neighbor. I hope you’ll take the opportunity this week to thank these dedicated people for their contributions to this great community. VVMC is not just a hospital for broken bones. We are here to bring new life to the Valley in our Women’s & Children’s Center, to save lives in our Emergency Departments and Cardiac Cath Lab, to treat illness and injuries in our Urgent Cares and Walk-In Clinic, to get people back to what they love in our Howard Head Sports Medicine clinics and to fight cancer and provide respite at Shaw and Jack’s Place. For all of this and more, we extend our profound gratitude to VVMC’s staff this week and all year long.
