MyChart: Your Health Care, Connected

Elevating Health

When Vail Health and Colorado Mountain Medical announced their partnership in 2019, one of the benefits touted was that over time medical records would be integrated and communications between providers and services would be improved. On October 3, 2026, Vail Health is delivering on that promise with the rollout of Epic, the leading electronic medical record (EMR) system in healthcare.

Patients and providers will be able to view medical records from Vail Health, Colorado Mountain Medical, Shaw Cancer Center, Howard Head Sports Medicine, Vail Health Clinics, Vail Health Behavioral Health and Vail Healthspan all in one convenient location, the MyChart patient portal, increasing continuity of care for patients by giving providers a full view of your health across multiple service lines.

For patients, this transition will mean one go-to place for managing your health. The new MyChart patient portal, powered by Epic, makes it easy to stay connected to your health care, providing secure, convenient access to health information, helping you spend less time managing the details and more time focusing on what matters: your health.

Your health information, when you need it

Life in the mountains doesn’t always follow a schedule. Whether you’re heading to work, traveling, spending a day on the slopes or enjoying time with family, MyChart makes it easy to manage many aspects of your health care on your schedule, from anywhere.

With MyChart, you may be able to:

  • View your health information, including medical records, visit summaries and test results, anytime, anywhere;
  • Link MyChart accounts across multiple healthcare systems;
  • Schedule and manage appointments online;
  • Complete e-Check-in ahead of an appointment;
  • Receive appointment reminders and important notifications;
  • Review medications and request prescription renewals;
  • View and pay medical bills;
  • Connect with your care team through secure messaging;
  • Manage proxy access (helpful with caring for your children or aging parents).

Stay connected between visits

Your care doesn’t end when you leave the doctor’s office or hospital. MyChart helps you stay informed between visits by giving you convenient access to information about your care.

You can review test results, look back at information from previous appointments or check your medications before your next refill or visit. You can also manage care for your family. Having this information readily available can help you feel prepared and engaged in conversations with your care team.

Care that moves with you

Whether you’re at home in the Valley, traveling outside the area or enjoying the mountains, MyChart gives you access to many of your health care resources from your computer or mobile device.

Because MyChart is the best-in-class patient portal, it is utilized by more than 3,700 hospitals worldwide. This means if you are traveling out of the community and need to access care at another medical facility that also uses MyChart, you and your care team at that facility will be able to easily access your medical records.

It’s one more way we’re working to make health care more convenient for the people who call the Eagle River Valley home.
