Emilia grew up in Colorado and earned her bachelor’s degree in evolutionary and ecological biology from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Here she discovered her interest in human performance while working with various team sports in the athletic training room. Emilia began her healthcare career at HHSM as a rehabilitation aide before transitioning to a surgical scheduler and physician liaison role while pursuing licensure as a massage therapist. After gaining additional patient care experience at The Steadman Clinic, she earned her doctorate from Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah. She is passionate about patient education and empowering individuals to take an active role in their recovery and performance, with a special interest in adventure and outdoor sports. Outside of the clinic, Emilia enjoys camping, rock climbing, skiing, and curling up with her dog and a good book.
