The Elevate Award: Recognizing Our People

The “Elevate Award” is a Vail Health Patient Experience award program that provides ongoing, meaningful staff recognition, acknowledging the skill and compassion our team members provide to patients and their families. This award directly aligns with our organizational Mission of elevating the health of our mountain communities.
Patient and family members are encouraged to nominate staff who made a meaningful difference in their health care experience. Nominees can work in any area of our healthcare system—from admissions to the lab, to our surgery centers, Howard Head Sports Medicine, Shaw Cancer Center, Colorado Mountain Medical, Eagle Valley Behavioral Health and more. What’s The Connection Between Phone Addiction And Teen Depression?
Most adults spend too much time on their phones, and it is harming their mental health. Dr. Charles Raison, psychiatrist and director of the Vail Health Behavioral Health Innovation Center, attributes some of the cause for rising depression and suicide rates to phone addiction. He wants to build a study at the center to examine how removing phones from the hands of teens may help their mental health.
