Biography

Dr. Holly Hickman is from Jackson, Tennessee, where she graduated summa cum laude from Lambuth University. She played college basketball until plagued by knee injuries she took another path and decided to apply to medical school. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis receiving the faculty medal for highest academic achievement. She was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Also, she won the top student award from the Department of OB/GYN. Dr. Hickman has studied obstetric outcomes in women with female genital mutilation. She is presenting her research at the 2019 National Meeting of the American College of OB/GYN. Dr. Hickman and her husband Ben are both very excited to become members of this mountain community. They recently welcomed their first child, son - Lincoln. They have two dogs - Indy, a German shorthaired pointer, and a beagle rescue, Hank. The Hickmans love outdoor activities and are looking forward to growing their family and careers in Colorado. Dr. Hickman enjoys the breadth of the specialty of OB/GYN with particular interests in obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, and vulvar diseases.
