Dr. John Wendel is a board certified radiologist specializing in pediatric radiology. Dr. Wendel earned his MD at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. During his radiology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston, he was named the Radiology Resident of the Year. As a result of the close professional relationships he formed during his fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston, he has returned yearly as a guest lecturer to share new information and exchange ideas.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wendel has been very active in the medical community. He has served on numerous committees, including medical executive committee, peer review committee, trauma team committee, and credentialing committee. He has also served as a division chief of pediatric radiology. He has authored award-winning exhibits at national radiology meetings and has given a multitude of lectures in local and regional settings.

Dr. Wendel has extensive volunteer experience in both religious and secular settings, including work for the Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts of America, Doctors Ought to Care, Success by Six, Utah Asthma Association Asthma Camp, and the Senior Companion Program.
