Biography

Dr. Elyssa Goldstein is thrilled to join Colorado Mountain Medical as a primary care sports medicine physician. Although she is originally from Indiana, Dr. Goldstein moved to Colorado as quickly as she could and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Denver in 2015. She received her medical degree from Rocky Vista University in 2022 and completed primary care training at HealthONE Family Medicine Residency in Aurora, CO. She then spent a year at the University of Minnesota Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship where she worked with athletes at all levels. Notably, she served as a team physician for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, St. Thomas Tommies, and Bethel Royals. She also cared for professional athletes including the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Saint Paul Saints during her year in Minnesota.

Dr. Goldstein’s training in family medicine and sports medicine gives her a unique lens to help patients stay active, healthy, and engaged in the activities they love. Her clinical interests include preventative care and family medicine, management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, fracture care, and minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedures. She believes in partnering with patients through education and individualized treatment plans to restore function, prevent injury and illness, and support lifelong wellness.

Outside of work, Dr. Goldstein enjoys alpine ski racing, trail running, weightlifting, and portrait and landscape photography. She and her partner Brian can often be found exploring the Colorado mountains, rivers, and alpine lakes with their dog Ralphie.
