Biography
Jordan Volk is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in hematology and oncology, with expertise in blood cancers, bone marrow transplantation, cellular therapies, and immunotherapy. He is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and partnering with patients and their families throughout every stage of their cancer journey.
Jordan earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado and has spent his career caring for patients in both nationally recognized academic medical centers and community oncology practices. Before joining Shaw Cancer Center, he practiced on the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Service at the University of Colorado Hospital, where he cared for patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, CAR T-cell therapy, and other advanced cellular therapies.
In his current role, Jordan provides comprehensive care for patients with benign hematologic disorders, blood cancers, and solid tumors, guiding patients from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and supportive care. He has a particular interest in expanding access to innovative therapies and has helped develop community-based programs for cellular and immunotherapy treatments, allowing patients to receive cutting-edge care closer to home. He is also actively involved in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and provider education to continually advance the delivery of oncology care.
Jordan believes that the best care comes from building meaningful relationships with patients, listening to their goals, and helping them navigate complex medical decisions with confidence and compassion. He values a collaborative, team-based approach and strives to ensure every patient feels informed, supported, and empowered throughout their treatment.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. He can often be found fishing mountain streams, mountain biking, hiking with his family, or spending time outdoors with his wife, daughter, and their two Australian Shepherds. He also enjoys cooking with his daughter, throwing frisbee for the dogs, and exploring new adventures together whenever they can.
