VAIL CO–Vail Valley Medical Center will open a new Walk-in Clinic on the Edwards Medical Campus on Tuesday September 6. The addition will make seeking healthcare in the area more convenient.

“Since nearly 25 percent of our valley’s population lives in Edwards Vail Valley Medical Center has been looking for ways to make it easier for individuals and families to get affordable convenient care close to home” explained the hospital’s President and CEO Doris Kirchner. “The Walk-In Clinic is a step in this direction.”

Open seven days a week the Walk-In Clinic will treat patients of all ages including pediatrics. Patients will be able to walk in for same-day care or make an appointment online for later in the day or week. The Walk-In Clinic can be reached by calling (970) 569-7500.

The Walk-In Clinic will handle most minor illnesses and injuries including coughs colds fever flu symptoms respiratory or urinary infections stomach illnesses dehydration and ear eye nose and skin irritations. They will also take care of minor scrapes cuts minor burns and sprains.

Vail Valley Medical Center encourages those with health insurance to contact their insurance providers for details on their coverage. In addition VVMC’s Support Team is available at (970) 777-2902 to provide information and cost estimates to visit the Walk-In Clinic.
