Hike Wine & Dine on September 21
Vail COHave you ever taken a water break on a hike only to be wined and dined by Beaver Creek's top chefs? If you attended last year's Hike Wine & Dine then perhaps that was the last time you sampled gourmet nibbles and sips while taking in the spectacular views from Beaver Creek Mountain at the peak of leaf-peeping season!
The sixth annual Hike Wine & Dine on Sunday September 21 is your chance to turn a fall hike into an epicurean experience. With proceeds benefiting Jack's Place and Shaw Regional Cancer Center your heart will be filled along with your tummy.
We all love getting outside and enjoying great food and drinks says Peggy Carey Vice President of Shaw Regional Cancer Center. This event combines the three into one fun delicious and beautiful day that raises funds for Jack's Place our cancer caring lodge for patients undergoing treatment.
The hike will take place on Beaver Creek Mountain and feature food from the Beaver Creek Park Hyatt Resort & Spa Osprey The Metropolitan Grouse Mountain Grill Dusty Boot Splendido Chophouse & Rimini at various stations along the trail. Registration is $100 per person and includes food wine and a commemorative gift. Children under 12 are free and teens ages 13-19 are $50.
Hikers will travel through a special section of the trail where yellow ribbons will don the trees in honor and memory of those affected by cancer. Ribbons are available for purchase for $50 during the online registration process.
Since opening in March 2007 Jack's Place has provided over 7000 nights of respite for patients of Shaw Regional Cancer Center and their caregivers.
