{"id":1921,"date":"2020-12-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vailhealth.org\/vail-health-receives-first-shipment-of-covid-vaccine\/"},"modified":"2020-12-16T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T07:00:00","slug":"vail-health-receives-first-shipment-of-covid-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vailhealth.org\/es\/news\/vail-health-receives-first-shipment-of-covid-vaccine\/","title":{"rendered":"Vail Health receives first shipment of COVID vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eagle County received its first shipment of the coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday at Vail Health Hospital in Vail.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vail Health is one of eight hospitals around the state to receive Pfizer&#8217;s vaccine after a FedEx van delivered the first shipment to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment&#8217;s lab in east Denver on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first dose will be administered to a health care worker on Wednesday, said Sally Welsh with Vail Health.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vail Health was chosen to be one of eight vaccine distribution centers based on its deep freezing capabilities, which are required to preserve the Pfizer vaccine.
