Cuando el equipo del Vail Valley Medical Center concibi\u00f3 por primera vez Pink Vail hace cinco a\u00f1os, nunca imaginamos que crecer\u00eda hasta convertirse en uno de los eventos m\u00e1s queridos de la comunidad. Desde 2012, se han recaudado m\u00e1s de $2.4 millones para la atenci\u00f3n de pacientes y los programas de supervivencia de todos los pacientes del Shaw Regional Cancer Center. Es incre\u00edble ver c\u00f3mo la comunidad local \u2014as\u00ed como la comunidad global\u2014 se une para recaudar fondos y conmemorar nuestra lucha conjunta contra el c\u00e1ncer. Desde los ni\u00f1os de escuela que organizaron ventas de pasteles e hicieron contribuciones personales, hasta los eventos organizados por nuestros principales recaudadores de fondos, pasando por el incre\u00edble apoyo de nuestros socios y el arduo trabajo de m\u00e1s de 400 voluntarios, todos se unieron y recaudaron $738000.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Me enorgullece saber que el 100% de los ingresos generados por Pink Vail se destinar\u00e1 a beneficiar a los pacientes actuales y futuros de Shaw, brind\u00e1ndoles entrenamiento f\u00edsico gratuito, asesoramiento nutricional, apoyo emocional, aventuras al aire libre, una enfermera de orientaci\u00f3n, masajes, tratamientos integrativos y mucho m\u00e1s. Estos servicios no suelen estar cubiertos por el seguro, pero han demostrado mejorar significativamente la calidad de vida de nuestros pacientes.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pink Vail no solo recaud\u00f3 fondos, sino que gracias al entusiasmo de todos por este evento, tambi\u00e9n elev\u00f3 el \u00e1nimo. La lucha unida contra el c\u00e1ncer fue acogida y el sentido de amor y apoyo hacia quienes padecen la enfermedad fue palpable.
