Each portion provides two servings of vegetables &#8212; a food group many Americans are lacking in their diets.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 tbsp olive oil, for cooking<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 lb lean ground turkey<\/li>\n\n\n<li>28 ounces canned fireroasted tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n<li>15 ounces canned red kidney beans, drained and rinsed<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced into cubes<\/li>\n\n\n<li>2 cups chicken broth<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp chili powder<\/li>\n\n\n<li>1 tsp ground cumin<\/li>\n\n\n<li>\u00bc tsp cayenne pepper<\/li>\n\n\n<li>\u00bc tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n\n\n<li>\u00bc tsp onion powder<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Cilantro, avocado and lime wedges for topping (optional)<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Direcciones:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat oil in a saucepan on medium-high heat. Once hot, add ground turkey and heat until brown and cooked through, around 10 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Add tomatoes, sweet potatoes, kidney beans, broth and seasonings.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Turn up the heat and bring chili to a boil.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Reduce heat to low and simmer 10-15 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Enjoy with optional toppings: cilantro, avocado and lime.<\/li>\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expert tips:<br> Time-saver: Make extra for delicious leftovers or freeze for future, speedy meals. Keep for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator or 4-6 months in the freezer.
