Fundada por el Colegio Americano de Cirujanos, la CoC es un consorcio de organizaciones profesionales dedicadas a mejorar la supervivencia y la calidad de vida de los pacientes con c\u00e1ncer. Desde que se cre\u00f3 el Premio al Logro Destacado de la CoC en 2004, solo un promedio de 12% de los programas evaluados recibe una acreditaci\u00f3n de oro cada a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shaw cumpli\u00f3 con 34 est\u00e1ndares de atenci\u00f3n de calidad y se someti\u00f3 a un riguroso proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n para obtener la acreditaci\u00f3n voluntaria de tres a\u00f1os. El centro oncol\u00f3gico fue reconocido por sus esfuerzos en la formaci\u00f3n de enfermer\u00eda: m\u00e1s del 25% de las enfermeras oncol\u00f3gicas del centro cuentan con una certificaci\u00f3n en enfermer\u00eda oncol\u00f3gica, y el 100% de las enfermeras tienen capacitaci\u00f3n especializada en oncolog\u00eda. Shaw cuenta con la acreditaci\u00f3n del CoC desde 2007. La credencial en curso demuestra que Sonnenalp brinda la m\u00e1s alta calidad y cumple con los est\u00e1ndares de la profesi\u00f3n de radiolog\u00eda de mama. La ACR tambi\u00e9n ha acreditado el centro de mama en biopsia de mama estereot\u00e1ctica, ultrasonido de mama y biopsia por ultrasonido de mama.
