Un estudio de referencia realizado en 2011, en el que se hizo un seguimiento de 2700 hombres, revel\u00f3 que aquellos que declararon realizar al menos tres horas semanales de actividad vigorosa ten\u00edan un riesgo 61% menor de morir por c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata que aquellos que hac\u00edan ejercicio menos de una hora a la semana. Todo ejercicio es bueno, y las actividades recreativas y de ocio muestran una disminuci\u00f3n en la mortalidad. Sin embargo, se observ\u00f3 una disminuci\u00f3n proporcional del riesgo a medida que aumentaba la intensidad del ejercicio.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Del mismo modo, los estudios realizados con pacientes con c\u00e1ncer de mama han demostrado sistem\u00e1ticamente que el ejercicio reduce el riesgo de c\u00e1ncer. En un total de 73 estudios, la reducci\u00f3n promedio del riesgo oscila entre el 25 % y el 301 % en los grupos con mayor nivel de actividad en comparaci\u00f3n con los de menor nivel.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Sociedad Americana contra el C\u00e1ncer recomienda ahora 60 minutos de ejercicio moderado o 30 minutos de ejercicio intenso todos los d\u00edas. Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 se entiende por \u201dvigoroso\u00bb? Se define como cualquier ejercicio que eleve tu frecuencia card\u00edaca a aproximadamente el 70-90 % de la frecuencia card\u00edaca m\u00e1xima (para calcular la frecuencia card\u00edaca m\u00e1xima, resta tu edad de 220) o que simplemente eleve tu respiraci\u00f3n a un nivel en el que no sea posible mantener una conversaci\u00f3n normal.
