Est\u00e1n disponibles para manejar una amplia gama de problemas pedi\u00e1tricos generales. Tambi\u00e9n participan en la reanimaci\u00f3n y estabilizaci\u00f3n de pacientes pedi\u00e1tricos que necesitan ser transportados por enfermedad o lesi\u00f3n. El VVMC no atiende a ni\u00f1os en estado cr\u00edtico (por ejemplo, intubados) porque no contamos con una UCI pedi\u00e1trica (PICU). Sin embargo, nuestra UCIN Nivel II es capaz de mantener reci\u00e9n nacidos intubados (durante 24 horas) y otros reci\u00e9n nacidos en estado cr\u00edtico.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEl servicio de Hospitalistas Pedi\u00e1tricos de VVMC cuenta con tres pediatras a tiempo completo y es capaz de brindar atenci\u00f3n hospitalaria de clase mundial tanto a los miembros m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os de la comunidad local como a j\u00f3venes viajeros de todo el mundo\u201d, dijo la Dra. Miranda, directora m\u00e9dica del equipo de Hospitalistas Pedi\u00e1tricos.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El servicio de Hospitalistas Pedi\u00e1tricos brinda cobertura hospitalaria las 24 horas del d\u00eda, los 7 d\u00edas de la semana para admisiones pedi\u00e1tricas de pacientes hospitalizados, consultas en Urgencias, consultas de pacientes hospitalizados y referidos de socios de medicina comunitaria.
