Well-known Miami-based fashion designer Julian Chang is partnering with the Vail Valley Medical Center Volunteer Corps for the 27th annual \u0093Diamonds are Forever\u0094 fashion show and luncheon to benefit the hospital’s ThinkFirst program. The event is slated for March 28 and this year’s theme is inspired by the James Bond film \u0093Diamonds are Forever.\u0094 Chang will showcase a black hot pink and white collection.<\/p>\n\n\n
Pepi Sports of Vail will once again contribute the primary collection for the fashion show presenting designers from all over the world. The dynamic collection that Pepi’s brings to the table is a great fusion of style with Chang’s evening collection.<\/p>\n\n\n
The event will be held at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort in Vail. This will be the largest fundraising event of the year for the Volunteer Corps. The Volunteer Corps of the hospital has raised charitable funds to benefit the Vail Valley Medical Center and the Shaw Regional Cancer Center in Edwards for more than 27 years.<\/p>\n\n\n
Supporting Educational Programs<\/strong> \u0093I am honored to be a part of this year’s fashion show to support a fundamental educational program such as ThinkFirst which teaches young and old alike the importance of thinking being and doing\u0094 Chang said.<\/p>\n\n\n ThinkFirst’s primary focus is the prevention of brain and spinal injuries through a series of programs that educate young people about personal vulnerability and risk-taking as well as providing programs for seniors to help with balance and prevent injuries from falling. Children and teens are at the highest risk for these devastating injuries many of which are preventable.
