This role will supply information to callers and record messages and also has responsibility responding to alarm systems. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Lo que har\u00e1s:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Operates communication systems, such as telephone, switchboard, intercom, email, or electronic paging.<\/li>\n<li>Consistently ascertains the nature of the call by listening well. Consistently routes calls to their intended destination. Keeps records of individuals that are paged and response times.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains current listing of all department staff telephone numbers, including emergency numbers and on-call staff. Maintains accurate daily call schedule and informs other departments of daily call schedule changes.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a thorough knowledge of Vail Health policies and procedures regarding all types of alarms.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as an answering service for physicians on the Vail Clinics Medical Staff, as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in placing long distance calls for employees and patients, as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains documentation from medical records and reports for third party vendors, as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Helps to train and educate new staff.
