POSITION PURPOSE:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
El Preoperatorio<\/span>\/PACU<\/span> Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for providing compassionate and individualized nursing care for patients and their families in collaboration with providers, staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient.<\/div>\n

This position is PRN or as needed.\u00a0 Eligible for a 16% PRN Differential.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: <\/strong><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  1. Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction<\/li>\n
  2. Provides patient education to facilitate plan of care, promote optimal wellness, and provide discharge instructions for home care<\/li>\n
  3. Demonstrates ability to delegate and or provide care appropriately and according to all regulatory requirements<\/li>\n
  4. Demonstrates competent PreOP<\/span>\/PACU<\/span> nursing skills with all patient types and age groups with minimal supervision<\/li>\n
  5. Administra medicamentos, realiza tratamientos y asiste en procedimientos seg\u00fan sea necesario; cumpliendo consistentemente con las pautas de seguridad del paciente.<\/li>\n
  6. Completes patient documentation and paperwork with accuracy<\/li>\n
  7. Ability to work in both PreOP<\/span> y PACU<\/span> and take call independently<\/li>\n
