Originaria de Nueva Orleans, Luisiana, Alyssa obtuvo su t\u00edtulo de posgrado en kinesiolog\u00eda en la Universidad de Michigan, donde tambi\u00e9n corri\u00f3 en atletismo. Recibi\u00f3 su doctorado en fisioterapia del Centro de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Estatal de Luisiana en 2013. En 2015, se uni\u00f3 al equipo del Instituto de Medicina Deportiva de Tulane, ubicado en el coraz\u00f3n de la Universidad de Tulane. All\u00ed, Alyssa adquiri\u00f3 una amplia experiencia trabajando en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con cirujanos de medicina deportiva y tratando rodillas, hombros y codos postoperatorios. Es una especialista certificada en ortopedia, reconocida por la American Physical Therapy Association.
