Casi de inmediato, comenz\u00f3 su carrera en oncolog\u00eda como enfermera de RN en Oncolog\u00eda M\u00e9dico\/Quir\u00fargica en el Knight Cancer Institute de Oregon Health and Science University en Portland, Oreg\u00f3n. Atra\u00edda por el amor a un estilo de vida rural de monta\u00f1a, se uni\u00f3 al Shaw Cancer Center como enfermera de RN de infusi\u00f3n y oncolog\u00eda m\u00e9dica en 2017. Luego, Shelly obtuvo su maestr\u00eda en enfermer\u00eda de Maryville University en St. Louis y comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en el Shaw Cancer Center como enfermera de pr\u00e1ctica avanzada en Oncolog\u00eda y Cuidados Paliativos en 2023. Tambi\u00e9n en 2023, Shelly recibi\u00f3 su Certificado de Posgrado Interprofesional en Cuidados Paliativos de la University of Colorado Anschutz. Con su certificaci\u00f3n como Enfermera de Pr\u00e1ctica Avanzada de Atenci\u00f3n Primaria Gerontol\u00f3gica de Adultos y sus a\u00f1os de experiencia en oncolog\u00eda, cuidados paliativos y hospicio, Shelly aporta una combinaci\u00f3n \u00fanica de habilidades al Shaw.
