Katie naci\u00f3 en Minnesota y se mud\u00f3 a Wyoming a los 3 a\u00f1os. Creci\u00f3 esquiando, haciendo senderismo, excursionismo, ciclismo y acampando. En 2007, se mud\u00f3 al Valle de Vail, lo que le permiti\u00f3 seguir disfrutando de todo lo relacionado con el aire libre mientras trabajaba en la especialidad de Oncolog\u00eda que tanto ama. Katie pasa su tiempo libre con su esposo, hijo y su labrador negro viajando y disfrutando de todas las aventuras que la naturaleza de Colorado tiene para ofrecer.
