In 2022, Vail Health launched a new awards program titled the “Elevate Award” to recognize extraordinary employees across our organization. A call to action was issued to our communities to nominate exemplary employees. Within a few weeks, Vail Health received over fifty nominations, including multiple nominations for one employee of Shaw Cancer Center, Erin Perejda, the Supportive Care Services Manager. In this video, Lorenzo Martinez of Minturn, with his wife Susan, surprise Erin by presenting her with the first Elevate Award in a ceremony outside her office.
