Interiors Project Specialist

Pay Range: Min: $25.34 Max: $38.02. Pay is based upon relevant education and experience.

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Interiors Project Specialist is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination & completion of facility projects which may cross over several functional areas. Provide administrative support for construction and facility projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Oversee & assist with planning, design, procurement & installation of the organization’s wayfinding & signage programs. Maintain updates to programs as needed in coordinated effort with marketing department.
  2. Produces specialized drawing, illustrations, layout, and digital images as needed to support wayfinding projects.
  3. Maintain and track owner stock inventory of furniture, fixtures & signage.
  4. Communication and scheduling of facilities projects with vendors and subcontractors as needed, including obtaining signoff from all required functional departments.
  5. Scheduling of departmental office and equipment relocations, communicating to staff, and providing support as needed to meet timeline requirements for job execution.
  6. Review furniture-fixtures and wayfinding design documents and architectural drawings for comment and execution as needed via direction from department leadership.
  7. Processing furniture requests & reviewing design specifications. Maintain organization standards in accordance with current healthcare and ergonomic guidelines.
  8. Involvement with projects that require an understanding of health care operations, organization relationships, and future vision of the organization.
  9. Displays and promotes professional, courteous and cooperative interaction with hospital staff, patients, families, physicians and leadership in meeting hospital needs and promoting teamwork.
  10. Practices timely, efficient and cost-effective coordination of all aspects of construction as evidenced by consistently offers assistance to coworkers and changes priorities as needs change.
  11. Follows all applicable policy management around safety in daily activities, including using good body mechanics, promoting safety culture, and knowing fire and disaster plan procedures.
  12. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Vail Health Values.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience:

  • 2 years facilities or administrative experience required; fast paced - health care setting preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, floor plans and diagrams.
  • Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or other drawing design software. 
  • Must have good communication skills and attention to details.  Must have the ability to observe a problem, investigate it and follow-up with a solution.

License(s):

  • Must have valid State of Colorado Driver's license and ability to pass VVMC’s Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

Certification(s):

  • N/A

Computer / Typing:

  • Must be experienced in using Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Must have intermediate computer skills in typing and ability to access online information accordingly
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Education:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Some college preferred
