Biography
Dr. Wainstein was born and raised in Ohio. After completing his training, he joined his father’s practice in urology and also served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at The University of Toledo Medical Center. Over the next 22 years, he maintained a busy practice as well as trained residents in urology. Dr Wainstein has extensive experience in all aspects of urology while having a special interest in female voiding dysfunction, neuromodulation as well as management of complex stone disease .
While living most of his life in the midwest, he has always been drawn to the mountains. Family vacations were spent in the Rockies, Sierras or Wasatch. In 2018, he moved to Truckee, CA to work at Tahoe Forest Hospital along with pursuing a mountain lifestyle. Vail has always had a special in his heart as he got engaged on “Minnie's Mile”. Dr Wainstein and his wife could not pass up the opportunity to relocate to the Vail Valley. Outside of work, he enjoys alpine/nordic skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking, along with hanging out with his family and two dogs: Barkley and Cooper.
